Shannon Dowell-

Shannon’s passion for fine design and unique furnishings began at an early age influenced by Houston’s southern tradition. Inspired by her post-college years in Del Mar, California and the bright, sophisticated styles of coastal living, Shannon returned to Austin in 1995 to pursue her career in decorating and established A. Kelly Custom Furnishings, a custom furnishing reproduction business.

Her keen eye for colors, textiles and design coordination have led her to produce a wide range of design projects from single rooms to numerous new residential developments. Blending lasting styles with a transitional, yet progressive feel, Shannon has created exceptional spaces in many affluent residences throughout Texas and California.

Catherine's extensive background in business management and finance coupled with a discerning sense of design adds the perfect balance to the team. Years in the business of home construction and remodeling gave her the hands-on experience, practical education and empathy she now applies to her design approach. Through her experiences she became acutely aware of a need for a shop that provides high quality pieces and timeless home furnishings and fixtures in just the right combination. Catherine’s fondness for distinctive interiors remains a love that propels her to provide these services in Austin.
